The cost of a new journey in life... a worthy one

Well, Jason and I decided that we should sell our SUV, after much debate. It would make more sense for us to do so, to help save some money and to cover my expenses from my personal development journey which I have taken. This way we can clear off the remaining car payments as well as give us the opportunity to put some more cash into our condo mortgage or condo reno costs, and save up the rest for a rainy day trip or something. As for the use of a car, my father has wanted to give us his car to use for the last few months (he uses it only once in a blue moon, and hates driving at his age), so it really all works out.

It does seem a bit sad to sell our SUV though, as it was our first purchase together, and a bit of a dream car for going on road trips and camping... but the reality is, we only get to go on a roadtrip maybe once a year if we are lucky to get the time off, or we go camping 2-3 times a year. Otherwise the car only gets good use on a weekend, if we go to visit parents or go for a trail walk/hike somewhere.

The funny thing is, that we are inheritting another silver vehicle... so it's not so far removed, just a sedan instead of a SUV. At least it will be easier to park it in our underground parking spot!
